Ukrainian scrap metal suppliers violate sanctions against the Moldovan Steel Works (Transnistria), introduced by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in May 2018. This was reported in her blog adviser of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the National Security and Defense Anna Kovalenko with reference to the data on freight transportations published by Ukrzaliznytsia.
In particular, Anna Kovalenko reported that in September 2018, 1447 tons of ferrous scrap had already been sent from the station of Zaporozhye-Left to Ukrzaliznytsia in Transnistria, and in total it is planned to send 6210 tons of scrap metal. According to Ukrzaliznytsia's reports, this cargo is destined for Novastal Prim, and unloaded at the Mateutsi station, which is located near the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant. The carrier of the cargo is Ukr-trans-company, which is part of the group Ukrmet - the largest scrap metal producer in Ukraine.
With reference to the order of Ukrzaliznytsya TSTSO / 117 from 24. 01.
2018 Anna Kovalenko also noted that the state railway carrier had also violated its internal prohibition regarding the sending of wagons to the territory of Transnistria.
To respond to these facts, Anna Kovalenko handed over the relevant documents to the National Security and Defense Council, the Security Service, and the Committee on National Security and Defense.
