In Sofia, a family of three people spends on a set of 128 goods and services half that of a similar family in New York (this city was taken for the standard by the researchers). In Bucharest, costs are 54% of New York, in Budapest - 56%. The rating includes 77 cities from all over the world. Among them, Zurich occupies the first place in terms of costs - there they spend 17% more per month than New York (117%), followed by Geneva (113%), Oslo (108%).

Budapest is ranked 64th in the ranking, Bucharest 66th, Sofia 70th. The capital of Ukraine - Kiev - was on the 75th place. The cheapest was life in Cairo - where residents live on average 35% of the cost of New Yorkers. The cost of living in different cities of UBS is published every three years.
