Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a softening of the pension reform that the government developed. According to him, the retirement age for women will be increased not by eight, but by five years - to 60 years.

Also, Putin suggested that the mothers with many children should retire early. According to him, if a woman has three children, she will be able to retire three years ahead of schedule. If four children - four years earlier, if five or more children - then at the age of 50.

In addition, Putin suggested that people who are expected to retire in the next two years, could apply for a pension six months before the new retirement age.

The president suggested that people who are "retirement age" are considered to be those who will retire in five years. According to Putin, for the dismissal of workers of pre-retirement age or denial in their employment, it is necessary to establish for employers "administrative and even criminal liability".

He also proposed to raise more than twice the maximum amount of unemployment benefits for people of pre-retirement age. From January 1, 2019, the amount of benefits will be 11.2 thousand rubles instead of the current 4.9 thousand rubles.

Putin advocated that workers of pre-retirement age can leave work every day for two days to undergo a free medical check-up. In addition, Putin instructed the government to create a program to improve the skills for citizens of pre-retirement age.

Another proposal of Putin concerns additional payments to non-working pensioners who live in villages and have at least 30 years of experience in agriculture. According to the president, from January 1, 2019 for them it is necessary to establish a payment of 25% of the insurance pension. Also, Putin offered to maintain benefits for residents of the Far North.

It is proposed to reduce the length of service for early retirement for the next three years.

For women - up to 37 years, for men - up to 42 years (instead of 40 and 45 years, as proposed in the pension reform).

Also, Putin insists that before the end of the pension reform all the benefits, including benefits for real estate and land taxes. Women will be able to use them from the age of 55, men from the age of 60.

He supported the proposal of United Russia to retain all regional benefits - free travel on public transport, utilities, capital repairs and gasification, and purchase of medicines.
