Today the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev and the deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Daniel Fesyuk, signed an agreement aimed at developing competition in the main markets of the Middle Urals. The ceremony took place immediately after the meeting, discussed the key indicators of the development of competition in the region.

Recall, Russian President Vladimir Putin previously approved the National Plan for the Development of Competition for 2018-2020. It involves comprehensive work in a number of areas: to expand the range of products in the markets, to improve their quality and price regulation, to increase the competitiveness and economic efficiency of our enterprises, and so on. It is assumed that this work should be systematically and synchronously conducted at all levels - federal, regional and local. To this end, key subjects should be identified in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and indicators for developing competition on them.

"For the public authorities of the Sverdlovsk region, promoting competition is a priority that contributes to improving the economy's efficiency, improving the quality of life of the Urals. I am confident that the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the government of the Sverdlovsk region and its further implementation will allow us to achieve notable successes in this activity, improve the competitive environment, create conditions for further economic growth in the region, "said Evgeny Kuyvashev.

Daniil Fesyuk notes that this agreement fixes mutual obligations to develop competition in the region:.

"This is our common task. And I hope that today an event took place that would move us meaningfully towards the achievement of our goals, "said Daniil Fesyuk.

In the Sverdlovsk region, the development of competition in various markets has traditionally been given special attention. The region introduces the standard of development of competition.

An important indicator of the effectiveness of this work was the increase in the number of enterprises and companies registered in the region, the list of which currently consists of more than 150 thousand. Sverdlovsk region is the first among the subjects of the UFD. At the same time, more than 90% are private organizations. The results of the annual monitoring of the competitive environment in the region for 2017 demonstrate a positive dynamics of satisfaction with the level of prices, the quality of goods, works and services, the number of organizations.
