By September 1, Kharkiv Metro plans to launch an electronic ticket system.

This was reported by the Kharkov Mayor Gennady Kernes during a live broadcast on Facebook.

According to him, the implementation of the E-ticket in Kharkov is carried out by investors together with developers from Czechoslovakia.

At the moment near the public transport stations have installed 173 land terminals.

Validators for metro and money changers are also purchased.

The mayor named the beginning of autumn as an approximate date for this.

"Now terminals are being installed at metro stations. The validators have already been purchased to be launched from September 1. We still need to close the system, "- said Gennady Kernes.

Also, the mayor said that the increase in the cost of travel to Kharkiv residents should not be expected until the end of 2018.
