Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman claims that the "war on smuggling", announced by the government, led to an increase in revenues of UAH 70-80 million per day.

Such a statement he made on the air of TRK "Ukraine" on Saturday, July 14, writes the Left Bank. The resolution, which opened the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the customs base and conduct analytical work, was adopted by the Cabinet on June 21.

"I will give you an example of how much we already have an increase in revenues to the state budget. 70-80 million plus daily - this is 2-2.4 billion in a month. We understand that efficiency will only increase. I'll give you just an example. Before we began to introduce new measures to combat smuggling, payment, for example, on the same goods - is a toy. The customs clearance took place at the price of 4800 dollars per container. Today the same container, the same toys - 8700. Imagine the difference? 4800 and 8700 in dollars are huge resources that went past the budget. Following. For example, fabrics are imported to Ukraine. Prior to our events, which stop the diverse implementation of schemes - a $ 12,500 container, the same container is cleared for $ 21,340 already. And I can cite such examples, "Groisman quotes the press service of the government.

According to him, the losses of smugglers are enormous, so the Cabinet faces fierce resistance.

"I already feel that these schemes gave birth to tens of billions of shadow money. You imagine that they will now be thrown at us to stop us, to divert our attention, not to allow us to implement those measures that we have planned and are already implementing. The struggle continues. The struggle is very complex, not easy, "Groysman said..

Recall that in early July, the Cabinet of Ministers proposed to criminalize the smuggling of goods. If the bill No. 8543 is adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, article 201 of the Criminal Code will prescribe a sentence of imprisonment for 3 to 7 years for the smuggling of goods on a large scale (more than 500 non-taxable minimums), from 5 to 12 years for smuggling goods in large amounts (more than 2,000 non-taxable minimums), from 8 to 15 years - for the smuggling of goods in especially large amounts (more than 5,000 non-taxable minimums).
