Russian residents of pre-retirement age will no longer have to worry about the level of salaries - with age they will only increase. Such a forecast was given by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, who told that it is planned to gradually equalize the imbalance in wages of young and old employees. Responding to a comment that age employees in Russia receive less than their young colleagues, the official said that "salaries should gradually level off and grow to older ages". "We will shift the bar of age, and certainly people will work longer and will certainly receive higher salaries, because these qualifications remain," he said on the air of the radio station "Says Moscow". In his opinion, there is no risk of a lack of jobs due to the prolongation of the period of work of the employees, as now young people born in the 1990s are entering the labor market. And it is not enough to close all available vacancies. "There will be quite a large number of people leaving the labor market, that is, the moment that has been chosen, it is precisely from the point of view of the balance in the labor market that the most convenient inflow is not. At us on the contrary decrease in number in able-bodied age tremendous ", - the minister. He also regards the proposed introduction of quotas for the elderly as "unnecessary encumbrance for employers".

And explained that as one of the measures to protect workers, the Ministry of Labor and Rostrud are planning to establish for employers the obligation to report on the planned dismissal of those employees who are raising their retirement age. Also for senior workers hot lines will be opened, which will enable them to quickly inform Rostrud about emerging problems. Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev reported on the upcoming increase in the age of retirement to 63 years for women and up to 65 years for men. The reform will begin in 2019.
