The Ministry of Finance of Russia proposed to reduce the cost of retirement in 2018. According to the draft amendments, which the agency published on the federal portal of draft normative legal acts, the expenses under the section "Social Policy" are proposed to be reduced by 52.93 billion rubles. Of these, 51.5 billion will be covered through pension provision. The expenditure part of the budget for social security will be curtailed this year by 5.9 billion. According to experts of the Ministry of Finance, compared to the previous period, measures of state support for disabled people can be reduced by 2.23 billion.

Nevertheless, to some categories of citizens, the department considers it necessary for the state to increase. In particular, the security structures providing national security will be additionally allocated 20.3 billion, and the army - 2.3 billion. Increase and the cost of the system of execution of punishments, which will receive 4.6 billion rubles. The support of the economy will be spent on 5.3 billion more. And spending on education will increase by 3.4 billion.
