It would seem that in Israel there is no shortage of workers, but ask the owners of factories in the north of this - and you will be told that it is quite difficult to find skilled workers.
Recently, the leading industrialists of Natrat-Ilita, a city in the neighborhood of Nazareth, announced the recruitment of hundreds of workers. However, there were not enough people, and the owners of the factories decided to look for them in Ukraine.
They personally visited Kiev and Odessa, where they managed to sign contracts with fifty candidates. Soon they will come to Israel and take jobs, note the Vesti.
Once the Natrat-Ilit was the center of unemployment of Israel, but now the city can boast a high level of employment. This is good for citizens, but makes life difficult for entrepreneurs who are desperately trying to fill vacancies.
Mayor Ronen Roth, who made a lot of efforts to transfer enterprises to his city, decided that he should help the plants.
"Why not turn to the Jewish communities in Ukraine?" Do not offer Jews reliable jobs in Israel, meeting them right there in Kiev? Or, for example, in Odessa? "- suggested to the industrialists a native not let Ukraine, but Moldova.
Nine leading enterprises of the city responded to the call: the Karmit confectionery (recently transferred from Rishon Lezion), the Aklimatik industrial air conditioning plant, the tanker producer for heavy tankers Karmor, the manufacturer of industrial equipment Magam Betihut, perfumery company "Persona" and others.
Their representatives flew to Ukraine with long lists of vacancies requiring qualifications: electricians, welders, production workers, forklift operators, engineers.
With the help of the charitable organization, the Friendship Fund ("Ha-Keren Le-edyut") held two major employment fairs - in Kiev and Odessa. They were invited by people entitled to repatriation to Israel.
As Ronen Roth said, "for immigrants, the issue of employment is extremely important. A young family wants to be sure that they will find a job. Therefore, a meeting with the employer will convince them to move to Israel faster than propaganda brochures ".
At the job fairs among the rest came 50 young families with children. They have already applied for repatriation and are going to settle in the Natrat-Ilite. They are guaranteed jobs.
The 38-year-old father of two children, Sergey Semenov, refrigeration technician, said that 2.5 years ago he applied to the Israeli consulate and received permission to enter, but was afraid that he would not find a job, so he stayed in Ukraine. "I am the only breadwinner in the family and I work in a good place, which I was afraid to leave. But now, when they promised me a job in Israel, I firmly decided: we are going. In the summer we will be with you, wait for us, Israel! ".
