Germany is preparing to take from Ukraine a piece of bread in the form of income from gas transit. Now large volumes of Russian "blue fuel" to European countries go through the territory of Nezalezhnaya. But with the launch of the "Nord Stream - 2" the main gas transit in Europe will be Germany. This was explained by the director of the Institute of National Energy Sergei Pravosudov. "In fact, Germany will take the place of Ukraine. Therefore, only in words the Germans wholeheartedly for Ukraine - in fact they are solely for themselves, "- said Justice in an interview with the Free Press, commenting on the statement of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel that the preservation of gas transit through Ukraine remains the priority of Germany's policy. The Chancellor of the Ukrainian gas issue also touched the negotiations with US President Donald Tramp on April 26. In particular, she pointed out that Berlin is ready to help the European Commission in the search for investors for the Ukrainian gas transmission system, so that the Nezalezhnaya retained the technical ability to transport Russian gas. But the question is: how much is Gazprom ready to leave for Ukraine? Is it worth investing in a pipe that will not be filled and half? After all, it will take a lot of money. According to preliminary calculations, only for patching holes in the gas pipeline is $ 2.7 billion. "If you hold the Ukrainian gas transport system to the level of modern Russian gas pipelines, amounting to $ 2.7 billion. you certainly will not get away, "- emphasizes Justice. There is one more problem: Kiev insists that the GTS should remain in the ownership of the state.

"To international investors, he agrees to give a 49% stake in the company that will manage the GTS, but do not own. From the point of view of any investor, this is an inadequate offer, "the expert notes.. Thus, Berlin only seems to be such a guardian for the interests of Kiev. In fact, he will not be able to help with anything, but he definitely will not lose his profit. "Nord Stream-2" will pass the bottom of the Baltic Sea from the Russian coast to Germany. The gas pipeline is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2019.
