Ruling the Russians of cheese, in which less than 50% of milk, offers the Ministry of Agriculture. The Office prepared amendments to the technical regulations on the safety of milk and dairy products, which introduces a new concept - cheese-like products. Now legislatively there are natural cheeses and a cheese product, remind "Izvestia". In the latter, the content of vegetable fats is allowed, but not more than 50%. However, the market now has many outwardly similar to cheese products, where vegetable fats are much larger - right up to the complete replacement of milk. The agency suggests calling it a "cheese-like" product and then banned for production and sale in Russia. However, the Ministry of Economic Development, where the Ministry of Agriculture submitted its proposals, is not yet ready to put its resolution on the document.

The reason that, because of vegetable fat substitutes, the demand for cow's milk is falling and that consumers mislead the name and appearance of the product, it is not enough for the MED to agree to a ban on vegetable cheese. Experts fear that such a radical measure will harm citizens' wallet. After all, the cheese-like product costs one and a half times cheaper than even the cheese product, therefore, it has its buyer from the economy segment. Another thing is that the buyer may not know that he is actually buying a counterfeit. Perhaps, then he would prefer to overpay, but get his portion of calcium and animal fat, rather than palm oil.
