Russians can lose some of their products on the shelves of stores. This was warned in the trade networks. The reason for the possible shortage of goods lies in the fact that the stores do not connect to the analogue of the Unified State Automated Information System (EGAIS). Producers of animal products are obliged to join the new system "Mercury", as well as switch to electronic document management. At the same time, it is necessary to issue veterinary accompanying documents to their products.
This measure will significantly improve the quality of products on the shelves of stores, and will also increase competition between producers, which may affect the drop in prices for buyers, the newspaper Vedomosti reports.. Russian retail chains, however, are not in a hurry to switch to Mercury, since they are not yet ready for such changes. It is noted that of the 100 largest suppliers, more than 30% did not even test this system at their enterprises. If this does not happen before July 1, 2018, when the law comes into force, then the diet of Russians will be significantly reduced, and companies will suffer huge losses.
