Antonov wants to assemble the An-148 and An-158 aircraft with Russian components in Belarus and, for this purpose, conducts closed negotiations with the Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 on the establishment in Minsk of a service center for the maintenance, repair and assembly of aircraft.
"According to the protocol of negotiations between enterprises, within the framework of cooperation, the possibility of using Russian components, including sanctions, is being considered," informs the "Liga" news agency..
In the case of a positive decision, "Antonov" will have to provide a list of aircraft that are operated in Russia, and a list of equipment to be repaired.
The Antonov Press Service confirmed the fact of the talks, refusing to comment on the details.
Today, the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise stores 10 An-148 / An-158 aircraft at the final stages of production. However, their mass production was impossible due to the termination of cooperation with Russia, which supplied up to 50% of the components.
