The chief commercial director of Naftogaz Yuri Vitrenko is going to prove in court that the rate of transit of Russian gas through Ukraine is understated twofold. According to him, Russia should return about $ 20 billion for the entire period of cooperation in 2009. "We believe that the cost of transit through Ukraine is understated approximately twice. And we will try to prove it in the framework of another arbitration process, "Vitrenko said on the air of the ICTV channel. Recall, the "gas" war exacerbated with the beginning of spring. On March 5, Naftogaz received an official notification from Gazprom about the intention to terminate contracts for the supply and transit of gas, having returned an advance payment for the supply.

In response, Kiev demanded compensation from the monopoly for refusing to supply gas from March 1 because of the lack of an additional agreement to the contract in 2009, writes "REGNUM". Note that earlier Vitrenko was already going to send a letter to Gazprom with a proposal to revise the tariff for the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.
