The Verkhovna Rada has amended the law "On some issues of importation into the customs territory of Ukraine and registration of vehicles", thus simplifying the import and registration of imported cars.

"For" the adoption of the bill number 5470-d voted 235 deputies, said the Ukrainian truth.

According to the changes, in art..

2 of the Law of Ukraine "On some issues of importation into the customs territory of Ukraine and registration of vehicles" the words "pass to the customs territory of Ukraine" are replaced by the words "customs clearance".

This eliminates the need to have a certificate of compliance with environmental standards, which had to be presented when the car was imported into the country and at the state registration.

However, such a certificate should still be provided at the internal customs office when customs clearance of the car.
