On Sunday, Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones at the presentation in Barcelona. Their main difference from previous models - 12-pixel cameras with a dual aperture and the possibility of creating "selfimoji".

At smart phones there was also one more new one function - a mode of the superslowing shooting, allowing to create such video with frequency up to 960 shots per second.

Cameras also allow you to make high-quality photos in low light. Each camera is equipped with a double aperture: F1. 5 and F2.

The fingerprint scanner is now under the camera module, which should solve the problem of lens contamination.

According to experts, Galaxy S9 - only a minor update of the previous model's smartphones. For this reason, the new model will be difficult to sell, since its design is very similar to the Galaxy S8.

Although it should be noted that the upper and lower parts of the frame are slightly narrower than in the previous model, that is, the screen occupies an even larger part of the front panel.

The Galaxy S9 Plus model differs little from the S8 Plus, except that the S9 Plus is equipped with a dual camera, which allows you to take pictures with different angles and retouch the background.

"I'm not sure that these innovations will be sufficient for people to abandon and run to buy new models," said Francisco Heerimo, an analyst at the IDC market analysis company.

Something similar is offered by Sony on its Xperia XZ Premuium smartphone, but Samsung claims that it's more convenient to use its camera.

A feature of the new models was the function of creating 3D-avatars or personified animation emoji - "selfimoji".

The user can create a virtual self in the form of emoji, which can be shared with friends.

Iain Fogg of HIS Technology says that the main problem for Samsung is that many users do not see much difference between the new and older models of smartphones of the company and will wait for the appearance of the next model - S10.
