This was reported by the director of the energy programs of the Razumkov Center Vladimir Omelchenko.

According to him, Ukraine over the past year has reduced consumption to 28 billion cubic meters. Such a decrease in consumption was mainly due to the fall in GDP production, and not through the introduction of energy-efficient measures, the expert believes..

Currently, Ukraine's reserves are about 600 billion cubic meters in Europe. In turn, the forecasted resources are about 3 trillion cubic meters.

Therefore, Ukraine is now the second in Europe in terms of gas reserves after the Netherlands.

Recall, as reported earlier, "URA-Inform", from March 1, 2018, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" will again reduce the price of gas sold to industrial consumers.
