The official notification says that similar growth rates of the domestic product indicate the country's economic recovery from the state of protracted stagnation. The key factors for GDP growth were: high consumer activity, active construction and expansion of the presence in the EU markets, reform of political institutions and the process of decentralization.
At the same time, the growth of Ukrainian exports, mainly raw materials and food products, also increased, to European markets by six percent, and the country's total exports exceeded the 19 percent mark.
However, it is worth noting that such a growth in GDP is completely and more completely offset by an increase in the rate of inflation, which in the country in a number of areas reaches 15 percent. Simultaneously with the raising of salaries and rising prices for food products, such a "victory" looks quite insignificant.
As reported in "Ura-Inform", in January of this year, consumer inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 14.1 percent, as in December of last year it was 13.7 percent.
