A full replacement for the Indian market was Indonesia. Although according to the publication, the loss of the Indian market is not the only problem for Ukrainian wheat exporters.
The second place among the largest importers in the world was occupied by Indonesia, which for last season bought from Ukraine 1.8 million tons of wheat. Compared to the previous season, the volume of imports increased by 11%, making Indonesia the largest buyer of cereals from Ukraine.
This country now accounts for 16% of Ukrainian grain exports.
India buys only 4% of the total grain exports from Ukraine, although last season this figure was 17%. At the same time, grain shipments to the Philippines have become the largest in almost 10 years.
As previously reported in URA-Inform, Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano said that the export of Italian goods to Ukraine in 2017 increased by 26.8 percent, and imports by 23.5 percent.
