According to the Fund's analysts, global economic activity continues to strengthen. This is stated in the World Economic Outlook, published on Monday, January 22, on the IMF website.

According to the Fund's estimates, the world's production in 2017 grows by 3.7%, which is 0.1 percentage points higher than forecasted in autumn, and 0.5% higher than in 2016. At the same time, sales growth was widespread, and in Europe and Asia there were significant surprises.

Thus, the IMF decided to revise the global growth for 2018 and 2019 upwards by 0.2 percentage points to 3.9%.

The document also notes that the revision reflects an increase in global growth and the expected impact of recently approved changes in US tax policy.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the International Monetary Fund decided to worsen the inflation forecast for Ukraine by 1.3% to 12.8%. At the same time, the IMF decided not to change the outlook for the growth of the Ukrainian economy, leaving it at 2%. According to the regional economic forecast for Europe published on Monday, November 13, the inflation forecast for 2018 was worsened by 0.4 percentage points to 10%, and by 2019 - was worsened by 0.5 percentage points, to 7%.
