In particular, the depreciation of the hryvnia was caused by a decrease in exports in January, as well as the continuation of payments abroad. This was on Sunday, January 21, on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.

According to him, if there is a reduction in exports, then less currency enters Ukraine, and there are payments that we make from Ukraine.

But when everything starts working perfectly normally, when we start exporting, when the balance starts to be saved, the situation decreases, and everything remains within the forecasted. Last year was the same, - explained the head of the Ukrainian government.

Remind, as reported URA-Inform, the National Bank of Ukraine intends to change the system of calculating the hryvnia. Permanent permanent appreciation of the hryvnia forces NBU employees to switch to a new system of calculating the rate against the US dollar.

At the moment, the formation of the exchange rate is a weighted average for all interbank transactions for the day, according to all their operations for the purchase and sale of non-cash foreign currency in the interbank space,.
