Peugeot completely switches to electric cars and hybrids

All car models produced by the French carmaker PSA Peugeot-Citroen will be equipped with electric or hybrid engines by 2025. French automaker Peugeot plans to present electric versions of the entire line of cars and commercial vehicles before 2025. This was announced by the company's CEO Carlos Tavares at the World Congress of Automotive News, reports Dow Jones.

According to him, the company intends to present 40 electric cars under the brands Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Vauxhall and DS. The company also plans to offer self-management functions for 80% of cars by 2030. For 10% of cars will be used technology of the 4th or 5th level of autonomy, that is, not requiring the participation of the driver,. Earlier it was reported that the American concern Ford Motor Co. significantly increase investment in electric vehicles - up to 11 billion dollars by 2022.
