This is reported by the Observer with reference to TVN24.

The number of Ukrainians who make insurance premiums increased by 78% as compared to 2016. So, following the results of the third quarter of 2017, 307,800 Ukrainians contributed to the social insurance system, in the same period of 2016 this figure was 172,000 people.

Additional funds received by the social insurance system in Poland help to reduce the retirement age in the country.

"The increase in the number of Ukrainian citizens insured in social insurance institutions is a consequence of the growing inflow of workers from this country to Poland, as well as the fact that Ukrainians are gradually settling on the Polish labor market," explained the expert of the Polish Employers' Organization, Lukasz Kozlovsky.

At the same time, the majority of Ukrainians working in Poland on legal grounds do not make contributions to social insurance institutions.
