According to the report, as of January 10, 23 sugar factories completed the sugar refining season. In the current season, 46 enterprises processed sugar beet.

Generally, sugar production reached 2.018 million tons and already exceeds the volume of production of the previous year.

However, this figure is not yet final, since four more sugar plants - Zhdanovsky, Radekhivsky, Narkevichsky and Gorokhovsky - continue the production season.

At the head of the analytical department of the association Ruslana Butylo stressed that the production of sugar in 2016/2017 marketing year amounted to 2 million tons of 13.66 million tons of sugar beet.
