Inflation in Venezuela, according to the estimates of the local parliament, exceeded 2600 percent. As one of the deputies, a member of the financial committee, Rafael Guzman, declared, Venezuela is the only country in the world with hyperinflation. The government of the country has not published the dynamics of price growth for several years already. For 2017, the International Monetary Fund predicted inflation in Venezuela at 652 percent, and in 2018 - at 2350 percent.

Due to the turmoil in the economy, as well as corruption and relatively low oil prices, Venezuela has been in deep crisis for many years, which also touches supply issues. National economy does not have enough currency to import food and daily necessities. A number of international rating agencies consider Venezuela to be partially bankrupt. "The Central Bank (Venezuela. - Red. ) is responsible for hyperinflation.

He prints money to financially support the government, "said the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Professor of Economics Jose Guerra.

For many months, the struggle of the ruling left-wing and opposition right-centrist parties continues in Venezuela. In July this year, the National Constituent Assembly was convened, which should deal with constitutional reforms. The meeting is mainly represented by the supporters of President Nicolas Maduro and is not recognized by the opposition.
