According to Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Mykola Shambira, pensions according to the new government reform will now be raised every year regardless of the change of political leadership of the country. The increase in pension payments will be based on the following formula: a 50 percent increase from the average wage and 50 percent of the inflation rate in the country.

It is expected that in 2019 this increase will be about 20 percent.

The official also recalled that the Ministry of Social Policy will significantly increase pensions for military and veterans of the war in eastern Ukraine. Today, a draft law has been drafted, but its consideration is still expected in the Verkhovna Rada.

As reported in URA-Inform, recently Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that the recalculation of pensions should be held again in 2019.
