So, the international currency funds of Ukraine increased by 21 percent or by 18.8 billion dollars. This became possible due to the refinancing of the fund by the US, as well as the purchase by the National Bank of more than one billion dollars against the background of a favorable situation at the market rate.

The increase in the fund was also replenished by an additional $ 558 million, which the Ukrainian government received in late December 2017.

Recall that the country began to pay off foreign debt obligations. For maintenance and repayment of public debt in foreign currency, US $ 423.6 million was sent in 2017. Basically, the amount went to pay off payments on bonds.

As reported in "URA-Inform", the NBU this year will transfer to the state budget 50.5 billion hryvnia of profit.
