As noted, problems have occurred in the sealing surface of the drive system for control and protection of the nuclear reactor. The company emphasizes that the radiation situation at the industrial site and in the surrounding regions is normal.
"The power unit was shut down around 2 am local time," reads the message.
At the moment, 10 out of 15 power units operate at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
