Since January 1, 2018 in China, there is a restriction on the assembly of cars that do not comply with local environmental standards. In this regard, in the PRC since the new year, the production of 553 models of different brands is banned, newsru reports with reference to Bloomberg.

According to the agency, in this list were, in particular, cars of foreign brands Audi, Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW, as well as Chinese FAW.

The full list has not yet been made public, but it is assumed that it will subsequently be expanded.

Thus, the government of the Celestial Empire intends to reduce the production of cars in the country that do not meet modern environmental requirements and consume a lot of fuel.
