The law that exempts individual entrepreneurs and individuals from payment of tax debts, formed before January 1, 2015, was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the official portal of legal information, the full text of the document was published on December 29.

According to the law, the arrears and penalties on transport tax, as well as arrears of personal property tax and land tax, generated by natural persons by January 1, 2015. In the same way, arrears of taxes, penalties and fines of individual entrepreneurs are written off, including arrears of insurance premiums, arrears of fines and penalties. The President touched on the topic of writing off unpaid taxes during a direct line on December 14 this year. He explained that when they become a burden for citizens and businesses, it does not meet the interests of the state.
