These are the latest data from the European statistical office.
In the first place in terms of GDP per capita was Luxembourg, followed by Hamburg and Brussels. London was only the 5th, and Paris - the 8th.
Bratislava has already topped the economic ratings of the EU for several years, last year it ranked 5th in terms of GDP per capita.
However, as economists note, the high GDP per capita does not reflect the full picture. It is rather an indicator of economic activity, rather than wealth, which the inhabitants really have. Large companies are registered in Bratislava, where people from all over the country work. And although the product itself can be produced in another region or employees from another city, GDP is "counted" by Bratislava.
