Ukrainians have something to "be proud of". Their country set a world record, though with a minus sign, on problem loans. This was told by the director of the financial stability department of the National Bank of the country Vitaly Vavrishchuk. "We have set an unpleasant and expensive for the economy record, in Ukraine recorded the highest proportion of non-performing loans in the history of world observation," - quotes his agency "Ukrainian News". At the same time, Vavrishchuk stressed that the problem had been solved, since the banks have reserves, so the system is not threatened. The director of the department asserts that the problem loans were at the peak in July (58%), and now their volume is declining.

According to Vavarischuk, the state should not interfere in this situation - banks should take full responsibility for themselves and figure out their own. "We believe that banks should solve the problem of bad debts by clearing, restructuring, or writing off," he said.. Meanwhile, the National Bank of Ukraine expects to receive a tranche from the IMF next spring in the amount of $ 3.5 billion.

Experts are sure that next year the situation in the banking sector of the Nezalezhnaya and the economy as a whole will not change significantly. According to forecasts, the share of problem loans will be 45-50%.
