The Rada Committee on Dec. 19 will consider the presidential draft law on land decentralization

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the President of Ukraine on December 6 this year introduced in the Parliament a draft law on the transfer of communal property to the joint territorial communities of state-owned lands that are outside the settlements.

December 7, the document was included in the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada, but was not considered.



According to the explanatory note to the bill, until the process of unification of territorial communities is completed, the right to dispose of state lands outside settlements will belong to the district state administrations.

The draft law also provides that a simplified procedure for the transfer of such lands to territorial communities and the establishment, as well as changes to their borders. Territorial communities will also have the right to change the purpose of land plots of private property located on their territory.
