If you fail to achieve a bargain with Brussels, the UK does not pay the agreed amount. This was announced on Monday, December 11, by Prime Minister Teresa May.

According to her, Britain is a country that honors its obligations, and we intend to adhere to it. We agreed on a just settlement of the commitments we made in the framework of EU membership. At the same time, all this depends on the achievement of further agreements that have not yet been agreed upon.

And if they are not agreed, we will withdraw our offer, "May said in her address to the party.

However, the head of the British government recalled that the final assessment of the size of the payment of Britain's withdrawal from the EU is 35-39 billion pounds, which is lower than originally claimed 50 billion pounds.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, British Prime Minister Teresa Mei asked the European Union not to disclose information on the amount of payments that the country must provide on the results of Brexit.
