Stone weighing 709 carats sold for 6.5 million dollars one. According to Africa News, it was found in March 2017 in Sierra Leone.

A diamond was found in the Kono area in the east of the country. This is the biggest diamond in the history of the state.

According to reports, the diamond was purchased by the British jeweler Lawrence Graff.

At the same time, a group of seekers who discovered the stone handed it over to the authorities of their country in the hope that the money from its sale would go to the improvement of Sierra Leone.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, at auction auction house Christie's in Geneva, Geneva on November 14, were sold two unique diamonds. The total amount of stones sold was $ 48.2 million.

According to local media, the adornment with an impeccably clean diamond weighing 163 carats went under the hammer for 33.5 million Swiss francs or 33.7 million dollars.
