The cost of fat in Ukraine is growing in price by leaps and bounds. An incredible rise in price of the beloved Ukrainian product has already been compared with the growth rate bitkoyna, according to the publication "Vesti". In 2017, lard grew in value 2 times, stronger than, for example, pork. Experts are sounding the alarm: maybe the Independent will have to import national pride. The main suppliers of lard are private farms. Unfortunately, now it is becoming unprofitable to keep pigs, because the waste from the table is getting smaller, it is necessary to purchase expensive feeds, which leads to an increase in the cost of bacon. People eat pigs, complained the director of the Ukrainian Association of Trade Network Suppliers Alexei Doroshenko.

He added that the number of pigs is declining and will not grow in the near future. The chicken is grown about a year, and the pig is 3 to 5 years old, so in the next 2 years the deficit of fat in Ukraine is inevitable, the expert said..
