In Ukraine, there should be a fund for crediting farmers, whose resources would help the farmer solve financial problems. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine on farming issues Viktor Sheremet in an interview with AgroPolit. com.
According to Sheremet, today in the regions there are working groups that accept and process proposals for further work.
"Some of the information comes. If you take farmers, they want state support per hectare and head, and also cheaper loans, "says the deputy minister..
According to him, land and resources are a very important issue for the farmer.
However, land is prohibited to buy, and with resources, especially financial ones, small farmers often have a problem.
"Today banks do not even want to talk to a farmer if he is less than 500 hectares. Therefore, we plan to create a fund, which to some extent would guarantee a pledge. It will be one institution that will make a pledge in state banks. In such a fund, a farmer will be able to take out a loan for the purchase of land or equipment, or for other purposes, "- summed up Victor Sheremeta.
