This was reported in the press service of the department.

It is noted that this is the first agreement PGNiG signed in the framework of the formation of the portfolio of medium-term agreements for the supply of liquefied gas.

Supplying LNG will be the British company Centrica from the terminal Sabine Pass, located in Louisiana.

The agency added that this could be very interesting information for Russia, since this is the first medium-term agreement on the supply of US gas to Northern Europe.

The agreement will begin to operate in 2018. It provides that during this time about nine consignments of liquefied gas will be delivered to Poland.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, Ukraine is not interested in the presence of such monopolists as Naftogaz Ukrainy or Oblgazy on the natural gas market and therefore should demonopolize the gas market by allowing various traders of "blue fuel".
