This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Washington Valery Chaly.
As part of the security assistance for Ukraine in the $ 350 million of the US defense budget for 2018, financing up to 50 million only for lethal defensive weapons.
As the ambassador noted, it is expected that the bill, which provides for the provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine, will be signed by President Trump.
It all depends on President Trump's decision, to provide these 50 million funding for the deadly defensive weapon or not.
As previously reported in URA-Inform, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Andrei Parubiy, at a meeting with the new Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Wess Mitchell, called on Washington to provide Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons.
