Sanctions will be extended without much discussion. This Tuesday, November 14, said the Brussels correspondent of Radio Liberty Ricard Jozwiak on Twitter.

According to him, today it seems that the decision to extend economic sanctions against Russia will be made without any serious discussions.

The corresponding decision will be taken at a meeting of the European Council.

Recall that EU sanctions against Russia were first introduced on July 31, 2014 for one year in response to Russia's actions, which destabilized the situation in Ukraine. Restrictive measures were strengthened in September 2014.

As reported URA-Inform, in early September this year the ambassadors of the European Union approved the decision to extend the sanctions against Russia for the annexation of the Crimea for another six months.
