As of September 1, the debt amounted to 2 billion 335.9 million hryvnia. Such data on Thursday, September 28, was published by the State Statistical Service.
According to the statistical department, the arrears in payment of wages in July 2017 amounted to 2 billion 377.2 million hryvnia. Thus, in August, the salary debt decreased by 41.3 million hryvnia in comparison with the previous month.
At the same time, indebtedness of economically active enterprises is 1 billion 230.9 million hryvnia or 51.8% of the total amount of debt. The bulk of the total debt is accounted for by industry - this is 77.3%.
The largest debt to date has been formed in Lugansk, Donetsk and Kharkov regions.
Here people need 524 million 108 thousand hryvnia, 419 million 584 thousand hryvnia and 262 million 203 thousand hryvnia, respectively.
The State Statistics Service also recalls that the data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea, the year of Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, as of August 1 this year, arrears in payment of wages in Ukraine amounted to two billion 377.2 million hryvnia.
