The Russian-German company Siemens Gas Turbine Technology (STGT) was recognized by the Moscow Arbitration Court as a co-opt for the Siemens process against the structures of Rostekh. This became known on Monday, September 18, following preliminary hearings on the lawsuit on the supply of gas turbines to the Crimea.

Initially, in the lawsuit of Siemens LLC STGT was listed as a co-defendant. From its "daughter" German manufacturer demanded an answer along with two similar structures of "Rostecha" - JSC and LLC "Technopromexport". The essence of the claims was not publicly reported, but it is known that the German concern is protesting against the illegal, in his opinion, supplies to the Crimean peninsula of gas turbines manufactured by Siemens.

However, STGT, a 65% stake in which is owned by Siemens, and 35% owned by Russian "Power Machines", took the side of the "parent" company. On Monday, the court granted this motion, and now STGT, which is a manufacturer of controversial equipment, and Siemens will act as a united front against Rostekha,.

At the same time, the court rejected the petition of defendant Technopromexport OJSC (TPE) to suspend the case on the grounds that the legality of the contract for the supply of turbines dated October 16, 2015. already verified in Moscow arbitration in the framework of the bankruptcy case of OJSC TPE. The hearing of the claim of Siemens is essentially scheduled for October 16, RIA Novosti reports..

The German concern insists that 4 gas turbines for the power plant in Taman have been illegally supplied, as they were intended for the project in the Krasnodar Territory, and requires the equipment to be returned to the manufacturer.

The Russian side claims that the claim is incorrect, since the turbines of Russian-German production were not new, in addition they underwent a serious modernization in accordance with Russian technologies, therefore Siemens can not be considered equipment.

Because of the outbreak of the scandal in August this year, the EU has extended sanctions against Russia.
