The European Union extended individual sanctions against Russia

Individual sanctions are extended for six months and will remain in force until March 15, 2018. It was reported in the official website of the EU Council that such measures involve the seizure of assets and the ban on entry into the countries of the Union.

They apply to 149 individuals and 38 legal entities. At the same time, four persons were excluded from the sanctions list in connection with their death.



Three legal entities from the previous sanctions lists conducted the merger, their names from the list also disappeared. However, the EU added a new structure to the list.

The report also said that in a swot, September 15, the Legal Act on the extension of sanctions will be published in the Official Journal of the EU.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, during a weekly meeting in Brussels, representatives of 28 EU countries agreed on the extension of sanctions, which will be formally adopted on September 14, 2017 with action until mid-March 2018.
