According to these data - acreage under buckwheat in 2017 g. has grown to 183 thousand hectares - in comparison with 150 thousand in the last year. Expansion of the areas makes it possible to get rid of the decline in yields, which is caused by unfavorable weather.
By the first of September in Ukraine buckwheat was threshed on 50 thousand hectares or 27% of the forecasted. The yield amounted to 11 centners per hectare.
