The debate on this issue will begin next week. The European Union plans to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation for the annexation of the Crimea for another six months.

According to the Brussels correspondent of Radio Liberty, Ricard Jozwiak on his page in the social network, European Union officials next week will hold a debate on the extension of sanctions against 153 individuals and 40 companies from Russia. The deadline is September 15, "said Yozvyak.

Recall that in June the European Union officially extended sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2018.

As reported URA-Inform, in early August, the EU expanded sanctions against Russia because of the scandal with Siemens. In particular, the EU has made in the sanctions list of three Russians and three companies that took part in the supply of Siemens gas turbines in the occupied peninsula.

As part of the non-recognition of the annexation of the Crimea, the EU banned the supply of equipment for infrastructure projects in the Crimea and Sevastopol.
