This was on Monday, August 28, said the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maxim Martynyuk. According to him, 15 regions of the country demonstrated the highest yield for the entire period of Ukraine's independence.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the industry has achieved high crop yields, according to some crops, he said, adding that the ministry maintains previous forecasts for the crop, the level of which will fully ensure the food security of the state and generates a resource for export, comparable to last year's.

In turn, Martyniuk recalled that last year the farmers reached the highest level of profitability and in the current season, given the gradual increase in world prices for agricultural products, there are reasons for maintaining high profitability of the agricultural business.

The deputy minister also said that barley had already been threshed - 8.6 million tons, rye - 471 thousand tons and rapeseed - 2, 1 million tons of grain.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, from the beginning of 2017-2018 marketing year, Ukraine exported 3 million 947 thousand tons of grain crops.
