In total at the moment, searches are conducted in 15 regions of Ukraine. This was reported by the first deputy chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Sergei Bilan.

According to him, a large-scale special operation to counteract the shadow market of alcohol and alcohol continues in the country. Now the second stage of the operation is under way, in which searches are carried out in Vinnitsa, Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Lviv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Chernigov regions.

At the same time, Bilan noted that such actions are necessary to check the available information on the unaccounted production of alcohol at legal plants.

This is the elimination of the causes, and not the consequences of the illegal turnover of alcoholic beverages, "he explained, adding that the searches are conducted on the basis of court orders in the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine" Illicit production, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of selling excisable goods ".
