It is assumed that the total amount of embezzlement in the project "Wall" is more than one hundred million hryvnia. As the press service of the GPU reports, the investigators of the prosecutor's office together with the Security Service of Ukraine discovered a criminal scheme of embezzlement with the subsequent appropriation of budget funds in especially large amounts.

The money was wasted when purchasing goods and services in the interests of the State Border Service of Ukraine during 2016-2017.

As of Friday, July 14, a complex of urgent investigative actions is conducted, material evidence confirming the involvement of officials of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the said business entities in the implementation of unlawful activities.

Pre-trial investigation continues, - told the prosecutor's office.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, June 15, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Troyan said that the state project "Wall" to date, implemented approximately 14%. Now, according to the plan of engineering development of the Ukrainian-Russian border, 273.5 kilometers of anti-vehicle ditches, almost 170 kilometers of rock roads and more than 83 kilometers of a metal barrage are already equipped.
