This morning the document is posted on the official website of the Official Journal of the European Union. Thus, now the Agreement will finally come into force on September 1, 2017.

At the same time, the Council of the European Union on Tuesday approved the Association Agreement with Ukraine.

This was the last obstacle for the implementation of the SA of Ukraine with the EU after the document was ratified by the Netherlands.

Recall, in April 2016 in the Netherlands held a referendum on the ratification of the Association Agreement. About 61% of the country's population voted against the ratification of the SA, only 38%. Despite the results of the referendum, most of the deputies of the Parliament of the Netherlands rejected the abolition of the Ukraine-EU agreement.
