The average Urals has become stronger in the agricultural sector in ten years: the number of individual entrepreneurs has more than doubled, and the total area of ??land per facility has increased by 40.3%. In addition, the Sverdlovsk region was among the best regions of the Urals Federal District in terms of the number of agricultural organizations. Such data was provided by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

As a result of the census, the Ural region has 690 large agricultural organizations, 1,911 peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs, 419,000 private subsidiary farms, 3,859 non-profit associations of citizens. As the head of Sverdlovskstat Elena Kutina noted, personal part-time farms are still the most numerous category of agricultural producers in the region.

"The least affected by the time were non-profit associations of citizens - garden, country, garden associations. An interesting trend is noticeable - against the background of the shrinking gardening associations, horticultural and dacha partnerships, the number of dacha associations has increased from 3 to 226, "said Elena Kutina.

It should be noted that the agricultural census is a one-time state action conducted throughout the country according to a unified methodology. It is an indispensable element of agricultural statistics.

"Without a general census, it is impossible to obtain complete information about the processes that are taking place in the country's agriculture and, consequently, to formulate an effective agrarian and food policy," explained Sergei Yegorenko, deputy head of Rosstat of Russia.

According to him, the final results of the census will be published at the end of 2018.
